It breaks my heart when a good restaurant closes. It hurts even more when it’s because of something out of their control. In this case, the disaster that has been Decatur Street for months on end. I really feel like the city has failed its business owners here. And I have to remind you all: LUFU may have closed its French Quarter doors, but you can still experience this Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant at their St. Charles location.

“We tried our best but the whole situation with the construction was getting out of hand.” – Sarthak Samantray (or Chef Shan to me and his friends).

Not only is the food incredible, the team is even better. The hospitality and welcoming environment they have cultivated are some of the best in the city, and Chef Shan and his crew could not be better people. So let’s support this place and give them the love and business they deserve. Join me as I salivate over the incredible food and cocktails here.

A thoughtful and creative bar menu is part of what makes LUFU so damn awesome. They have plenty of non-alcoholic options, too.
