A Spectacular Experience Awaits at the Chef’s Counter at Heartwood Provisions!

September 4, 2019

Heartwood Provisions is in my ‘hood and it’s definitely one of my favorites in this ever-evolving Seattle restaurant scene. Their dishes are fresh and elegant with a focus on local and their menu changes often to reflect what’s in season. The cocktails here are just as big of a deal as the food; Heartwood has carefully crafted a unique and adventurous specialty cocktail list that pairs with the food offerings. We’ve all done a coursed dinner with wine pairings; and this is even more fun!

This is the beautiful Chef’s Counter at Heartwood Provisions (and sitting near the kitchen is always my presence if possible). We indulged in the Chef’s Tasting Menu on our visit, which includes four courses for $75.
Heartwood is a beautifully warm and inviting space.
The meal started with this incredibly flavorful Lobster Mushroom Tostada Amuse Bouche.
Jamon Iberico with Baguette and Olive Oil.
Cured Wild Sockeye Salmon, with Smoked Tea, Creme Fraiche, Bagel Crumble, Aguachile.
This dish was such a beauty.
The Chef’s Tasting menu includes four courses with optional beverage pairings. Their awesome bar team (led by industry bad ass Amanda Reed) concocted four fantastic non-alcoholic cocktails to accompany our meal and they were all outstanding. (It’s $25 to add the beverage pairing to the meal.)
Octopus with Ink Fried Rice, Chinese Sausage, Mama Lil’s Aioli, Ruby Mustard Greens, Pimenton Glaze.
A little lemon squeeze action over that to-die-for octopus.
FYI the bar here is stunning and one of your best happy hour spots in Downtown Seattle!
Wagyu NY Steak with Summer Squash, Walla Walla Onions, Peanut Romesco, and Jamon Vinaigrette.
Peaches & Cream with Peach Sorbet, Orange Chantilly, Almond Crumble and Peach Shrub.
Thank you for a fantastic dining experience, Heartwood Provisions!
