Rejoice fellow poke lovers! Sam Choy’s Poke to the Max has just opened a Tacoma location and they’re serving up all of the Poke to the Max favorites. I’m a southern girl who found myself in Seattle four years ago and Hawaiian cuisine is not something I have eaten a lot of in my life. I did have the pleasure of visiting Oahau in 2015 with my sister and the shrimp plates we ate on the North Shore were incredible. Still, Hawaiian is one of the newer things in my Rolodex of food experiences. I’ve been eating more and more of it over the past couple years as it continues to gain popularity on the west coast. Sam Choy’s Poke to the Max has been some of my absolute favorite. It’s very worth the quick light rail trip it takes me from downtown to Columbia City to eat here (and they also offer delivery via Uber Eats). Now you can enjoy all the delicious things at their new Tacoma location as well.
