Last evening, I had the esteemed pleasure of being a guest at Rotie Cellar’s Paella Dinner with Jim German. If you don’t know, Jim is a bit of a legend in Seattle; he worked behind the bar for many years at many notable restaurants such as Cafe Campagna, Il Bistro, and Place Pigalle. (His time in Seattle was right before mine, with him leaving and me arriving in 2013.) Jim is also known throughout the industry far and wide for his fantastic paella dinners. Since arriving in Walla Walla, I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to attend one and it finally happened this weekend.
This experience was everything I dreamed of (and more) and was only made more perfect by the stunning backdrop of Rotie Cellar’s vineyard and tasting room, and their impeccable wines.
