I Ate Every Burger on the Stacks Food Truck (Except the Veggie One)

September 29, 2017

1 The Stack

The Stack: 4 oz beef, Stack sauce, lettuce, pickle, caramelized onions.

I added an extra patty and bacon and cheese. This is the burger of my dreams.

Would any of you believe there was a brief time in my life when I was a vegan? It was only for six months back in 2014 – but it was enough time to get a feel for that lifestyle. I honestly felt amazing, it’s a super healthy and awesome thing to do for your body, but I just love meat and cheese and cream too much. Anyways, those were some weird and different times. Now I’m writing a blog on every awesome burger at my fave food truck, Stacks. If you follow me anywhere on social then you know that Stacks is the badass burger place in Federal Way that is committed to using only local and the highest quality of ingredients to make some hella bomb burgers. I can’t get enough. These guys are bringing it people and if you haven’t had their burgers yet, do yourself a favor and go – NOW. Yesterday the Stacks truck was in Seattle (which is rare y’all – they are usually in Bellevue or Tacoma and it breaks my heart on a weekly basis). Of course since my homies were in town at the Starbucks Headquarters in SoDo, I had to go eat every burger right? (Okay I didn’t have the Veggie Stack – you guys go try that one report back.)

2 Lil Beast

The Lil Beast: 4 oz beef, bacon, bbq, cheese, caramelized onions and pickles

3 The Cryfecta

The Cryfecta: 4 oz beef, jalapenos, arugula, pepper jack cheese, caramelized onions

4 Chicken Stack

The Chicken Stack: grilled chicken breast, steak sauce, lettuce, pickles, and caramelized onions

5 The King

The King: 8 oz beef, peanut butter, jam, bacon, cheese, arugula and pickles

Guys, I can’t lie – I did not actually try the King. I’ve had all the others but not this one. Why you ask? Well, I am absolutely revolted by peanut butter. It’s a very sad but true story. I wish I liked it but I honestly can hardly stomach the smell of it. That being said, if you are not completely grossed out by peanut butter, you should definitely try this burger. This burger actually won Stacks the 2016 Bite of Seattle Best Food Truck and I was one of the judges for this. Yeah, that’s right people – the other five judges liked this burger so much we agreed Stacks should be the winner without me even getting to taste this. So – it’s a good damn burger. (To be fair they served me the Stack burger to taste which was amazing and began my love affair with this place.) So what are you waiting for? Get down to Federal Way and try Stacks – I promise it’s worth the drive. You can also catch one of their trucks weekly in the Seattle area – follow them on Instagram at @stacksburgers and Twitter at @stacksburgers1 to find out where they’ll be next!

This post is incredible! I hope to one day follow in your footsteps to eat every menu item on my favourite food truck! Now I’m hungry for a burger and it’s barely 10am.
