Have Yourself a Magical Little Getaway at the Inn at Discovery Coast

December 4, 2019

Long Beach, Washington is one of my all time favorite places. It’s a quiet, sleepy little town on the southern coast of the state and it’s somewhere I’ve returned to again and again. This year, the boyfriend and I had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving at the Inn at Discovery Coast; a darling boutique ocean front boutique with a simple but modern, coastal feel.

The Pool House

We stayed in the Pool House which has some beautiful new rooms, a heated covered pool, spa, sauna, and patio with fireplace just perfect for taking in early morning sunrises.

The Restaurant on site: The Pickled Fish

The Pickled Fish is the restaurant on site here and it does not disappoint, y’all. We got to partake in their Thanksgiving Dinner and it was wonderful. Beautiful views, delicious turkey with all the fixings and live music here was how we spent our Thanksgiving afternoon.
Definitely don’t miss breakfast at The Pickled Fish! They have a house made pop-tart and the flavor changes daily.

The Rooms

The rooms here are stunning. They have a hipster, nautical vibe and incredible jetted tubs (that open up into the bedroom) and balconies that overlook the beautiful beach forest.

You can actually see the television from the bathtub and I 100% did this while watching Christmas movies and drinking wine.
Fireplaces, retro mini fridges, microwaves and 50″ flat screen TVs are standard in these dream boats.
Take in that sunshine and beautiful beach forest on your private balcony.

The Rest

Inn At Discovery Coast is sister hotel to Adrift Hotel that sits directly beside it and this is where you’ll check in. I’m lucky I got a photo of this space empty because it was almost always filled with people playing games, reading, or enjoying the free coffee and teas they have available 24 hours a day.
There’s a very impressive selection of wine, snacks and other goodies here to take back to your room.
And you can take their bikes our for free as well when you stay here!
By the way there’s a distillery on site! Stop by Adrift Distillers to sample local spirits!
And make sure you catch the sunset. You can actually drive your car on the beach here right in front of the hotel. (I absolutely insist you do this.)
The sun setting on a perfect moment. Thank you for a beautiful weekend Long Beach and Inn at Discovery Coast!
