Ursa Minor is just special. You feel it right away when you walk in – the beautiful, sun soaked wooden dining room, the fresh flowers and succulents, the hanging dried herbs and fantastic plate and glassware. Yes, there are dozens of little touches that make this one very special restaurant that’s owned and operated by husband and wife team Nick Coffey and Nova Askue. He cooks the fantastically delicious (and fantastically local) northwest menu of creative small plates and she runs the front of the house. It’s a beautiful harmony and you can just feel their touch on the restaurant that is so uniquely Lopez Island. Enough with words, allow me to show you the beautiful space and plates that make up Ursa Minor!
