Well, we have been in this crazy stand still state for over a month now in Seattle. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m doing my very best to not go totally nuts on a daily basis. One thing keeping me sane is the fact that we still can order, pick up and consume many of our favorite foods from many of our favorite restaurants. I’ve been sharing A LOT of the food I’ve been eating during this time, but I thought it would be fun to share what some of my favorite food obsessed friends are eating right now, too. So I asked my ten favorite Seattle foodies – what is your favorite take out you’ve had since this all started? Here’s what they said (and how you can order it for yourself!).
@monybseattle // Monica: T’Juana Tacos, West Seattle
“T’Juana Tacos serves up takeaway at their West Seattle window or by delivery apps! The chorizo breakfast burrito is a weekend special that blows my mind! Filled with chorizo, eggs, Oaxaca cheese, tater tots, microgreens, and salsa, it’s the perfect way to start the weekend!” Order here or call in your order to get 10% off!
@grubbinseattle // Olivia: Sawyer, Ballard
“Sawyer’s cinnamon roll monkey bread is famous for a reason. This warm, ooey gooey, cinnamony, doughy goodness is the highlight of my boring af isolated life. Oh, and if you don’t capture your cream cheese frosting pour on video, then it didn’t happen. Available Sundays only and these babies sell out fast, so get your orders in!” Orders can be placed online here.
@feedher // Tiffany: Lumpia World, Federal Way
“Lumpia World is one of my favorite places for takeout – their lumpia is such a comfort food and the mac salad reminds me of sunny days in Hawaii. I love that they serve both the Seattle area and south in Federal Way, they’re even finding creative ways to deliver outside their normal radius so they can feed more people during these Stay Home days.” Place your delivery order here or pick up order here!
@nelson_eats // Nelson: 663 Bistro, International District
“One of my fondest memories as a child is going grocery shopping with my grandma going to different spots in Chinatown/International District and buying Chinese BBQ. We would get Roast Duck at one place and walk to another place for BBQ Pork and another for Roast Pork. My favorite spot to get Roast Pork is 663 Bistro and I love getting their BBQ Lunch Box, which comes with rice and bok choy. The ratio of meat to fat in the Roast Pork makes it so succulent.” Place your order here (pick up only)!
@what.jessie.eats // Jessie: Taylor Shellfish, Capitol Hill
“My fave takeout thus far has been from Taylor Shellfish Dungeness Crab Dinner for 2! 🦀 It came delivered with everything you needed for a perfect dinner date: beautifully prepared and ready to eat crab, Caesar salad, and a baguette! Toss in a bottle of white wine and you’re in for a perfect night. And the crab, seriously out of this world – so fresh, sweet, and delicious. YUM!!!” Place your order here!
@mrfrankstagram // Frank: Ma’Ono, West Seattle
“I have to go with the West Seattle Ma’Ono. There is nothing better than having the best fried chicken in town. I order mine medium or just a notch above. I definitely have to get their potato mac salad to go with it. Even in these tough times, there is something comforting about a Hawaiian inspired chicken sando that sends your mouth on vacation.” Delivery and pick up ordering here.
@seattle_bites // Sonya: Bangrak Market, Belltown
“It’s a tough call but one of my very favorites has been Bangrak Market in Belltown. The takeout was just as thoughtfully prepared as it usually is when I dine in. Nothing was cold or over cooked and the flavors were amazing!! Plus I loved the presentation. They had everything placed on banana leaves and it made for a beautiful meal.” Place your orders for takeout and delivery here!
@monmoneats // Monica: I Love Sushi, South Lake Union
“If there’s one food I could eat everyday it’s definitely sushi! ‘I Love Sushi’ always hits the spot, and their seafood is incredibly fresh even when it’s delivered. My favorite order is the Mt Rainier entrée, because it comes with huge pieces of Nigiri, a California roll and miso soup.” Place your order here!
@annie_eatsfood // Annie: Seattle Fish Guys, Leschi
“I love how fresh the poke is everyday. Seattle Fish Guy’s has turned their shop into a market that not only sells fresh seafood and poke but they have used their space to allow Woodinville Valley Farm to set up a space to sell fresh flowers. This is the real meaning of OHANA!” Visit their website to order.
@feedthepudge, Ken: Dingfelder’s Delicatessen, Capitol Hill
“One of my favorite spots in all of Seattle, Dingfelder’s is a Jewish Delicatessen specializing in delicious pastrami and corned beef sandwiches! Over the past few weeks, they’ve expanded their menu to include ready to heat family meals and items sold by the pound as a way to better serve the community. Best of all, they’re offering free soup to any healthcare professional and first responders anytime, and 15% off for industry folks!” Delivery available via Postmates or give them a call to order pickup.
